Thank you for visiting my website. My name is Dayene Bacchin, but everyone calls me Dadá.
I’m a Brazilian pregnancy yoga teacher and doula and I live in London with my husband and my two beautiful daughters.
Here is a short version of my journey so far:
I am the mother of 2 beautiful girls: Carolina who is 10 years old and Camila who is 5. Both born from natural births that changed my life in so many ways, especially my career path.
After Carolina's birth, here in London, I realised how important it was to prepare myself mentally and physically to endure labour in a positive and empowered way. It made me realise that there is a big difference between actively giving birth or having someone else to deliver the baby for you. Obviously, we need to take in consideration that every woman is different, and that births are unpredictable, but we also need to bear in mind that giving birth is a natural process and that we can do it.
I did Yoga through my whole pregnancy, and that benefited me not only physically, but it also brought me body awareness, focus and taught me to calm my mind through breathing exercises and meditation.
So, I decided that I would like to work supporting other women to go through the birth experience in the most positive and humanised way possible. It was then that I chose to do my Doula course with Michel Odent and Liliana Lammers, in 2010.
Soon after finishing my course we moved back to Brazil, and in a short time, I found myself working with pregnant women, teaching Yoga and supporting them in childbirth. As the idea has always been to work flexible hours and conciliate work and my daughters’ education, I divided my time between Yoga classes, births and the challenges and wonders of motherhood.
Now, back living in the UK, I hope to continue on this inspiring path of supporting women during pregnancy and childbirth.
I recently finished my Vinyasa Flow TTRYT 200hrs at Aditya Yoga School, a course approved by the Yoga Alliance UK.
